Partners and Collaborations

Collaboration with local and strategic international partners is a key part of the Institute’s programme. NISTH will take an active part in the “Summer Davos” in China, and collaborates with the World Economic Forum (WEF) Centre for the 4th Industrial Revolution in San Francisco. This is a direct result of NTU’s recent admission into the highly selective and influential WEF Global University Leaders Forum. NISTH welcomes collaboration with researchers from the other local institutes of higher learning in Singapore.

Student and outreach activities are equally important to the Institute’s programme. A introductory Science, Technology and Society Minor is being assessed under the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences. A new BSc in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science jointly offered by the College of Science and the College of Engineering will admit its first students from Academic Year 2018. Digital literacy will be introduced as a part of NTU’s core curriculum for all NTU undergraduate students. NISTH provides support for student activities, with the goal of enhancing the NTU learning experience and preparing our students for life and work in smart cities. In addition, NISTH lends support to certain existing university-wide activities, like the Falling Walls and the Majulah Lectures.
