NISTH Visiting Fellowship Programme 2019

The NTU Institute of Science and Technology for Humanity (NISTH) Visiting Fellowship programme is a newly-launched initiative with the aim of promoting scholarly exchange and enriching the intellectual environment of the University.

The Visiting Fellows are to enhance the academic standing and research of the University by formulating research collaborations and by facilitating scholarly exchange among faculty. Their responsibilities usually include taking part in research and/or teaching activities for a limited period of time, typically for a semester.

NISTH puts out calls for applications for the NISTH Visiting Fellowship once a year.

Eligibility

  • NISTH Visiting Fellows must have a current appointment with an established university or research institution.
  • Applicants should generally have a PhD or equivalent higher degree in any discipline.
  • Applicants should preferably have research interests that contribute to the understanding and shaping of scientific and technological changes, exploration of their consequences for societies, and anticipation of potential consequences so that breakthroughs can be directed towards the betterment of humanity.
  • Applicants are likely to be engaged in research projects that lie at the intersections of technology, natural sciences, social sciences, arts, policy, regulation and governance, business, medicine and ethics.
  • Applicants are expected to possess an established record of scholarly excellence in the field of study.

Visiting Fellows will be provided:

  • Work space within NTU and access to the NTU Library facilities
